Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the diseases with the greatest impact on our society, being the most common among women. Although technological advances have improved prognosis and increased survival time, surgery continues to have disabled consequences that compromise functionality, interfering with women’s ability to perform daily activities, their independence, and their quality of life. Rehabilitation thus becomes a process that enables the development of lost abilities. Methodology: An Integrative Literature Review [LR] was conducted following the PRISMA protocol. The research was conducted on the EBSCO Host – Research Databases platform, selecting Medline Complete and CINAHL Ultimate as the databases, using descriptors validated by DeCS/MeSH. Studies published between 2020 and 2025 were included, with intervention programs aimed at women with breast cancer who underwent mastectomy. Results: Fourteen studies were selected. The results demonstrated greater capacity for self-care, pain reduction, recovery of joint range of motion in the upper limb homolateral to surgery, and quality of life in women. Discussion: The results of LR demonstrate the importance of structured and personalized plans, encompassing respiratory and motor functional re-education, activities of daily living [ADL] training, and the educational component, as well as highlighting home-based programs as promoters of adherence to rehabilitation programs. Conclusion: The evidence reviewed shows that early rehabilitation programs after surgery are effective in improving self-care abilities, reducing pain, and improving functionality. Continuing rehabilitation programs at home after surgery is recommended as a strategy to increase adherence to the rehabilitation process and recovery of functionality.
