This research explores the interplay of non-physical work environment and motivation on the work discipline of Generation Z employees at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This research employed a questionnaire consisting of 39 questions. The population of this study consisted of Generation Z employees at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, with a sample determined using a simple random sampling technique. Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares was used to conduct data analysis. This research underscores the importance of fostering supportive non-physical settings and boosting work motivation to optimize work discipline and employee effectiveness. The broader implications of this study suggest that a focus on improving workplace dynamics may yield substantial advantages in employee performance and satisfaction, offering valuable insights for leaders in governmental organizations seeking to adapt to the characteristics and needs of Generation Z. The findings suggest that work discipline is positively and significantly influenced by both the non-physical work environment and work motivation. A comprehensive analysis of employee perceptions regarding their work environment, motivation levels, and observed disciplinary behaviors, reveals that a supportive non-physical work environment significantly enhances motivation and, consequently, work discipline among these employees.
