Zero Tolerance: Diagnosis and Prevention and Intervention Actions for Workplace Bullying and Sexual Harassment
摘要
Workplace bullying and sexual harassment are complex, multidimensional phenomena. Recommendations, guidelines, and laws at both global and national levels seek to guide actions addressing these issues. These documents enable recognition and provide direction for actions organizations should take to prevent and address violence. Nevertheless, it is common for lectures and isolated initiatives to be considered sufficient. However, actions must go beyond superficial measures and be implemented at multiple levels. The Human Resources sector, for example, must be informed and trained to respond to situations of workplace violence. Using a technology startup—where values such as availability and team spirit are widely promoted—as a case study, this chapter analyzes a situation of organizational moral harassment and a case of sexual harassment between two colleagues in the logistics department. The chapter proposes a framework for actions focused on diagnosing and mapping situations, prevention, and interventions aimed at mitigating the harm and consequences of harassment and violence.
