This chapter aims to introduce the book “Evidence-Based People Management: Learning from Practical Case Studies” to readers. Initially, we offer a theoretical overview of evidence-based people management, then we explain the book’s purpose, which is to offer resources for the evidence-based teaching and learning process through situations (cases)—whether hypothetical, real, or adapted from actual contexts—that enable readers to understand how, in practice, they can address the various topics and phenomena explored in this book. This chapter also presents the book’s general structure and a brief indication of what is contained in each of the 17 case study chapters. Finally, tips are given on how to read the teaching cases and how to apply the knowledge acquired from reading them.

摘要
