In the previous chapters, we discussed the wide range of challenges facing media executives today. We began by exploring the external challenges of managing the public audience, the dependence on commercial and digital platforms to reach the audience, the relationship with government stakeholders, and with social crises and conflict. We turned next to key strategic actions the PSM CEO can take, namely dealing with internal human resource issues, and acquiring sports rights, maintaining technological relevance.
