The availability of high-quality 3D content has been a limiting factor for the growth of Extended Reality (XR) and 3D applications, particularly within cultural heritage sectors as cultural tourism. Against this background, the 4D Browser and 4D City applications targeting desktop and mobile users provide various functionalities for time-dependent 3D world viewing, information access, virtual city tours, and media contests. Within the 5DCulture, INDUX-R, and 3DBigDataSpace projects, the applications were enhanced towards a multi-user 4D content management and tested with data for various cities in seven European nations and with around 1000 user sessions per week in 2024. This chapter presents (a) a set of XR experiences created within the 4D applications and (b) first evaluation results for their usage as of 2024.

摘要
