Temporal Dynamics of Climate Change in Viticultural Zones: Insights from Northeastern Romania
摘要
Climate has played a crucial role in shaping human societies and agricultural systems. In viticulture, rising temperatures and decreasing water availability present growing challenges for traditional wine-producing regions, as wine quality and yield depend on complex interactions among climatic factors, grapevine physiology, and vineyard management. In this context, the present study analyzes the climatic evolution of three wine-growing regions in northeastern Romania (Iași, Cotnari, and Vaslui) focusing on shifts in phenological timing in response to climate change over the period 2013–2023, using the years 1961–2012 as a reference baseline. The findings reveal a marked local impact in recent years, with consistent evidence of changing temperature and humidity regimes, indicating ongoing climatic shifts.
