The paper deals with researching the aircraft’s aerodynamic characteristics improved by the volumetric vortex generators of different shapes. A description of testing models is presented, including the choice of the airfoils. The study has been carried out in the wind tunnel using the weight experiment. The detailed characteristics of volumetric vortex generators of different shapes are described. The description of the weight experiment is represented. The basic features of the balance and holder are given. The characteristic of the wind tunnel with experimental equipment is given. The research on aerodynamic coefficients depending on the angle of attack for volumetric vortex generators with different shapes has been carried out. The positive effect of the volumetric vortex generators on the characteristics of the hysteresis is shown. The appropriate graphical dependencies are represented. The study of the visualization of volumetric vortex generators is shown. The obtained results can be useful for aircraft of the wide class, especially for unmanned aerial vehicles.
