The rapid development of digital technologies requires more and more frequent updating and integration of digital competencies in the education system so that all learners can prepare for the challenges and modern requirements of the labor market. This dynamic and the use of information and communication technologies in all economic areas require fast and effective implementation of European policies and objectives in national ones. On the other hand, this is related to updating curricula, teaching methods, and the technologies used in the learning environment. This report provides a brief overview of current European legislation in digital competencies and an analysis of the responsible organizations and the stakeholders. Based on the results, a model for implementing the Artificial Intelligence Competency Framework for Teachers and the Artificial Intelligence Competency Framework for Students in the Bulgarian education system, described with Generalized Nets, is proposed.
