To investigate the characteristics of phytoplankton community structure in the Qixi River Basin of Qianjiangyuan National Park, a four-season phytoplankton sampling survey was conducted in 2023. The results indicate that a total of 111 species of phytoplankton belonging to 6 phyla were identified in the Qixi River Basin. The species composition was mainly Bacillariophyta and Chlorophyta, with 44 and 47 species respectively. The biological density ranging from 2.04 × 104 to 6.96 × 106 cells/L and biomass ranging from 0.04 to 5.09 mg/L. There are 25 dominant species in Qixi and Qixi Reservoir throughout the four seasons. This study revealed the community characteristics and seasonal dynamics of phytoplankton in the Qixi River Basin, providing scientific data support for the phytoplankton ecology of Qianjiangyuan National Park.
