The treatment method and discharge of nuclear wastewater is a key step in the operation of nuclear power plants. The treatment methods of traditional nuclear wastewater mainly include physical adsorption method, chemical precipitation method and biological method. These methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. This paper discusses the emerging nuclear wastewater treatment methods: membrane distillation technology. Membrane distillation technology has the advantages of flexible operation, low cost and low energy consumption, which has become an important research direction of nuclear sewage treatment technology. However, membrane distillation technology has the disadvantages of membrane pollution and membrane moistening, which leads to short membrane life. Therefore, this paper further looks forward to the development direction of membrane distillation and the improvement of membrane materials, so that nuclear wastewater treatment develops from single to multi-stage.
