Influence of Climate in Urban Cities: Case Study in Ibarra

The article examines the influence of climate on urban cities, focusing on the case study of Ibarra, Ecuador. It discusses how climate changes impact urban design, infrastructure, and residents’ quality of life. The challenges facing Ibarra are highlighted due to its mountainous geographical location and climate variability in the Andean region. The need to integrate precise climate data into urban planning processes to develop resilient and sustainable strategies is emphasized. Additionally, the importance of preserving natural areas and fragile ecosystems to mitigate the effects of climate change on the city is underscored. In summary, the article addresses the importance of adopting urban development policies that consider climate and promote sustainability in the context of growing cities.
