This study is aimed at exploring long-term impact of the ancient Indian systems of Yoga and Ayurveda on mental well-being of practitioners. Correlations between mental health parameters (anxiety, depression and stress) and some standard Yogic practices and lifestyle factors (such as yogasanas, pranayama, mantra chanting, visiting religious/spiritual places) have been studied during COVID times. The findings are consistent with the existing literature, such as anxiety being negatively correlated with reading or listening to spiritual text and depression being negatively correlated with the number of years of Pranayama practice. The promising results hint at the need to explore causality between the studied entities.

摘要
