Product-as-a-Service (PaaS) in the apparel industry is an emerging business model that aligns with the principles of the Circular Economy (CE) by promoting sustainability through the leasing, renting, or sharing of clothing items rather than traditional ownership. Currently, there are limited examples of successful implementation of circular supply chains with PaaS in consumer markets. To address this gap, the aim of this study is to assess the maturity of circular practices related to PaaS models in the apparel industry in the context of circular supply chains. Using desk research, existing practices are analysed to determine their level of maturity to support circular supply chains with PaaS. A multiple case study method was applied to compare the approaches of selected companies, allowing a detailed evaluation of the strengths and limitations in implementation. This analysis allowed for the development of a novel maturity model, which helps in identifying gaps between the current state of practice and the desired model for the circular supply chain with PaaS. The findings offer practical recommendations for both individual companies and the wider apparel sector that seek to advance the level of circularity in their supply chain.

摘要
