Ground Level Impact: Self
摘要
This chapter examines volunteer perspectives on the foundational/ground levelFence Model of Volunteer Impactfoundational/ground level of impact from the Fence Model of Volunteer Impact introduced in the eighth chapter. Volunteers define impact on themselves, or self-impact, across six dimensions: (1) mental health, (2) physical health, (3) emotional health, (4) social health, (5) lifelong learning, and (6) getting a sense of purpose. Lifelong learning and sense of purpose are the most often cited impact categories among volunteers. Each dimension is discussed at length with excerpts from interviews providing a deep understanding of volunteer perspectives.
