Based on reported findings and extant literature in volunteer management, I identify eleven findings that, if addressed, can help NPS sites leverage opportunities, reduce tension, and overcome challenges in park volunteer management. Toward that end, across the findings, I suggest seventeen recommendations. Findings and recommendations are sorted into the areas of volunteer recruitment, volunteer supervision and administration, and volunteer recognition.
