Enhancement of Mechanical Properties of Concrete Through Alccofine Supplementation and Fibre Reinforcement
摘要
The purpose of this research is to conduct an evaluation of Fiber Reinforced Concrete (FRC), a composite material that improves the structural integrity of traditional concrete while simultaneously decreasing its brittleness. The mechanical characteristics of concrete that has been changed with glass fibers and additives are evaluated in the study. The findings demonstrate that the strengths of the compressive, split tensile, and flexural tests are improved by larger concentrations of additives, and the best performance is achieved when the replacement level is 20%. The use of glass fibers serves to significantly enhance both fracture resistance and load distribution. The AF20% mixture with 2% glass fibers obtains the maximum strength of all the combinations that were put through the testing process. In comparison to conventional concrete, the overall mechanical performance is substantially enhanced by the use of fibers and additives.
