The article presents a case study of the implementation of an IT system for supervising the production process. As part of the work, digitalizing solutions enabling automatic data acquisition were also implemented. The example concerns the process of printing wallpaper and posters, which is characterized by high product variability. As part of the research, an analysis of the current state was carried out, including the identification of key factors affecting the quality of the process. On this basis, decision rules were adopted to enable effective control of the production process. On this basis, the IT system was configured and implemented. Its validation showed that its implementation contributed to a significant reduction in the fraction of defective products.
