This chapter examines the unique role of international framework agreements (IFAs) in establishing human and labour standards. These agreements enable the involvement of trade unions in setting, monitoring, and enforcing human and labour rights by MNEs. The chapter also provides recommendations on how these instruments can be utilised to enhance compliance with decent work standards by MNEs.
