Peacebuilding is a key practice in processes of conflict resolution, as it allows affected parties to revisit divisive narrative and reconceptualise rivals under common identities. This chapter highlights that peacebuilding can be conducted through tourism, and particularly peacebuilding tourism, a niche form of short-term travel conducted by peace professionals. Introducing the phenomenon of peacebuilding tourism in the context of divided societies reveals a niche audience of intentional contributors to peace and reconciliation that are neither long-term peace contributors to the divided setting, not they are recreational visitors disengaged with the context of peace development. They are a specialised audience able to intentionally inform and be informed by processes of peacebuilding in the destinations they visit. By using the case of Cyprus, the chapter discusses how peacebuilding tourism contributes to peacebuilding in divided societies through contributions to narrative.
