Impending rupture of a large popliteal artery aneurysm in a patient with prior femoral–popliteal bypass (using great saphenous vein) performed 12 years earlier was treated with interposition of a ringed PTFE graft from the patent distal segment of femoral–popliteal bypass to the distal popliteal artery using a posterior approach. The patient had a satisfactory outcome.

Impending rupture of a large popliteal artery aneurysm in a patient with prior femoral–popliteal bypass (using great saphenous vein) performed 12 years earlier was treated with interposition of a ringed PTFE graft from the patent distal segment of femoral–popliteal bypass to the distal popliteal artery using a posterior approach. The patient had a satisfactory outcome.
