Wound Healing
摘要
Wound healing is a critical aspect of surgical care, encompassing a series of complex, coordinated processes that aim to restore tissue integrity and function. This chapter delves into the fundamental principles of wound healing, outlining the phases of hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. It examines the systemic and local factors that influence healing, including nutrition, oxygenation, and infection control. The chapter also explores surgical techniques and adjunctive therapies designed to optimize wound repair, while addressing potential complications such as wound dehiscence and hypertrophic scarring. By integrating both basic science and clinical practice, this chapter provides a comprehensive guide for physician associates (PAs) involved in the management of surgical wounds, ensuring evidence-based approaches to enhance patient outcomes.
