Radiology is a specialty that takes years of education and training to master. However, it is not uncommon for providers of all backgrounds to need to order imaging at some point in their career for a variety of diagnoses. It is helpful to have a basic knowledge of radiology images and to understand why different tests are ordered for different diagnoses. This chapter strives to make radiology a little less intimidating for non-radiology medical professionals.
