Trauma Surgery
摘要
Trauma is known as the disease of time. The Golden Hour describes the 60 minutes from the time of injury until definitive treatment occurs. Longer times to treatment increase risk of morbidity and mortality. Rapid assessment and management of life-threatening injuries is paramount. Coordinated teams at designated trauma centers practice a systematic approach to trauma patient care. This chapter is an overview of trauma care, from initial evaluation and resuscitation through management of specific injuries.
