Propagation and Cultivation
摘要
Rubus nubigenus Kunth has been propagated in vitro and sexually by pyrene. Rubus nubigenus pyrene germination is a lengthy process due to dormancy. Pyerenes germinated after 100 days in sand irrespective of mechanical or seed removal from drupelets. Rubus nubigenus has been propagated by cuttings using 23 ppm of 1-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) to obtain roots. Rubus pyrenes have been used for in vitro propagation by using longitudinal or transverse cuttings. The cultivation of R. nubigenus has been considered difficult in Northern Perú, at the Huancabamba Depression. In Colombia, it is cultivated in Cundinamarca, Caldas, and Cauca States between 2600 and 3100 m above sea level. However, there is no reliable or detailed information on its cultivation. R. nubigenus is a plant with great potential as a crop plant from the Andes.
