Tuning PID Controllers of Cascade Structure for Self-Balanced Process in Startup Period
摘要
The study proposes a tuning method for a cascade control structure of selfbalanced process in the startup period or in other words being trial operation stage, when the controllers have not yet been installed. The method provides the proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controllers for both the inner and outer loops. Initially, before any controller is implemented, the transient characteristics of the process are identified, from which the controllers are subsequently determined. The method facilitates the shortening of the startup tuning process of cascade control parameters, minimizing the commissioning time.
