Conclusions: Towards Integrated, Rights-Based, Interdisciplinary and Inter-Sectoral Frameworks for Migrant Health and Well-Being
摘要
On World Health Day 2025, the United Nations Network on Migration made a powerful statement in support of migrants, underscoring that they “are not merely recipients of healthcare; they are frontline workers, caregivers and key contributors to resilient health systems and community well-being”, and ensuring their access to health “strengthens societies, reduces public health costs and fosters more inclusive, sustainable communities” (United Nations Network on Migration 2025). This book highlights the vital role of migrants and refugees and advances for an interdisciplinary, rights-based approach to sexual and reproductive health (SRH). Traditional practices like disease screening, vaccination, and family planning are important but insufficient to address migrants’ complex needs or to promote a holistic understanding of sexual well-being (Singer and Clair 2003; Tsai and Burns 2015).
