Protective factors and processes of resilience may compensate for risk factors in the development of individuals who are at risk for etremism. This chapter contains our new conceptual work and systematic reviews of protective factors against extremism, radicalization, and terorism. We report our findings from international analyses and thus add knowledge to past research that mainly focused on risk factors. Addressing protective factors is important for the design of psychosocial interventions that will be presented in the next chapters.

摘要

Protective factors and processes of resilience may compensate for risk factors in the development of individuals who are at risk for etremism. This chapter contains our new conceptual work and systematic reviews of protective factors against extremism, radicalization, and terorism. We report our findings from international analyses and thus add knowledge to past research that mainly focused on risk factors. Addressing protective factors is important for the design of psychosocial interventions that will be presented in the next chapters.
