Introduction
摘要
The establishment of an ophthalmic wet lab is required by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for ophthalmology residency and can be a considerable task. The journey, however, is rewarding not only personally to the instructor but also to the training surgeons. In our experience, the complication rate of cataract surgery with residents as primary surgeon was reduced by more than 50% after introduction of a wet lab. In the hope of assisting with your development and administration of a wet lab, we have written this text in a practical manner to encompass all aspects of the process, including information we have personally developed over the last decade, including curricula, practical procedure outlines, and tips for any level resident.
