Design and Development of Flexible Antenna for Body-Wearable Applications
摘要
An improved planar monopole antenna with ultra-wideband (UWB) capabilities serves as the main focus of this paper. The proposed antenna construction features modified patches alongside truncated ground planes to achieve better impedance resonance. The radiating element receives power from a 50 Ω microstrip line. The implementation of stepped modifications on the ground plane results in improved return loss performance while decreasing voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR). HFSS by Ansys 2024 R2 software was used to assess antenna design and performance which validated the extensive bandwidth as per FCC regulations from 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz according to simulated and measured results. The device brings a compact structure that reaches high gain while maintaining omnidirectional radiation patterns for UWB application needs.
