Geospatial Adaptive Streetlight Control System for Energy Optimization
摘要
This project presents a Smart Public Lighting Control and Monitoring System on the Internet of Things (IoT) to address the difficulties associated with maintaining streetlights. Manual maintenance processes waste a lot of energy because the lights are frequently left on all day and broken bulbs are ignored for extended periods of time. Finding and replacing the broken bulbs is a lot of work and can be confusing. To solve these issues, the system uses a Node MCU that is set up with timezonedb.com time settings to automatically control the lights based on sunrise and sunset times. Additionally, a current sensor provides feedback to the Node MCU, enabling the system to track and show the quantity of defective bulbs on ThingSpeak.com . Overall, the system promotes sustainability and energy conservation in urban areas by providing a sufficient solution to the problems of energy waste and inefficient maintenance in street lighting.
