An important end goal for many EEG research studies is publication in a peer-reviewed scientific article. Therefore, learning to write up your research for publication is an important skill. In this chapter, we provide advice on what to include in your manuscript and why. Deciding what to include is a particular concern for EEG studies, which can include a large amount of technical information. Here, we consider an article as a document with diverse readers with differing expectations and priorities. Based on this view, we provide strategies and resources by considering the key readers of an article and their expectations related to structuring, scientific content, and reproducibility.
