Future Directions and Global Perspectives
摘要
The world of education is changing as a result of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), which provide new opportunities for data-driven decision-making, intelligent tutoring, administrative automation, and personalised learning. These technologies provide educators and politicians in the Global South a previously unheard-of chance to solve structural issues, such as curriculum delivery and assessment limitations, teacher shortages, and unequal access to education. But in order to guarantee their responsible and inclusive usage, its implementation also brings up significant pedagogical, ethical, and infrastructure issues that need to be resolved. Computer programs that simulate human intellect to carry out activities like thinking, problem-solving, language comprehension, and decision-making are referred to as AI. A form of artificial intelligence called ML uses data to teach computers to make judgments or predictions without needing to be explicitly programmed for each job. Tools that automate grading, provide real-time feedback, identify learning challenges, and customise instructional materials may all be powered by AI and ML in educational settings [1] (see Fig. 12.1).
