Dry eye disease is a condition that occurs when tears unable to provide adequate lubrication to the eyes. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of lukewarm water compression on the level of dryness in the eyes among old age people. Quasi-experimental one-group pre-test post-test design has been used for this study. 40 samples selected from an old age home in Bhubaneswar, with the help of Probable simple random sampling. The Schirmer’s Test – 1 has been used to check the dryness in the eyes. The study found a significant difference between pre and post-test on level of dryness in the right eye with p = 0.000 and a significant difference between pre and post-test on level of dryness in the left eye with p = 0.001. This study concludes that Luke warm water. Compression is an effective procedure to decrease the level of dryness in the eyes in old age.
