Lifelong learning is not merely a process of acquiring knowledge; it is a holistic approach that encompasses emotional growth and development. By fostering emotional aspects of individual development, lifelong learning significantly enriches the educational experience. As society continues to evolve, integrating emotional dimensions into lifelong learning practices will be essential for cultivating well-rounded individuals capable of thriving in an ever-changing world (Ghanizadeh & Moafian, 2010; Moafian & Ghanizadeh, 2009). The emotion-associated side of human functioning is a myriad of various constructs and attributes, which can be scrutinized through corresponding frameworks and constructs inherent in educational psychology and adult learning theories. In this chapter, these emotion-associated attributes are discussed: Emotional Intelligence, Emotion Regulation, Emotional Labor Strategies, Anxiety/Apprehension, Stress Coping Strategies, Engagement, and Burnout Prevention. As already stated in the preface of the book, some of these constructs might also be categorized under the other dimensions of learning; nonetheless, based on the highest commonalities with the emotional facet, they are introduced in this chapter.
