The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in K-12 education is transforming the way educators approach professional development. Drawing on insights from a teacher leadership program involving over 300 K-12 educators that the author facilitated, the study explores firsthand experiences with AI-driven classroom engagement strategies. By integrating these real-world insights with existing literature and global case studies, the study highlights the significant impact of AI tools on improving teaching practice, enhancing leadership capabilities, and fostering collaboration among educators. Findings indicate that AI supports individualized teacher development and cultivates a culture of innovation and student-centered learning in K-12 classrooms. By examining ethical implications and challenges, the paper encourages a balanced approach to AI integration that complements rather than replaces the human elements of teaching. This paper concludes that AI is an invaluable resource for teachers’ professional development, driving both personal growth and systemic improvements in education.
