A Holistic, Adaptive, and Evidence-Based Model for Designing Effective Online Higher Education Ecosystems
摘要
The rise of online learning in the changing environment of higher education has highlighted the importance of proper, flexible and evidence-based schemes to facilitate curriculum planning, teaching and assessment. The current paper presents and explains the ABCDE Framework as the comprehensive model that has Audience Analysis, Blended Learning Approaches, Constraints Identification, Design Considerations, and Engagement Strategies. This paper examines the history of its creation and development, the theoretical background, and most commonly used applications of this framework, as well as the current topicality of this framework in a modern online educational setting. By incorporating both a substantial literature review, a thorough analysis, and the actual application of real-life case studies to the problem, this research paper offers a strong, scale-able roadmap that can target institutions interested in making their online programs more effective, inclusive, and sustainable.
