Smart Entrepreneurship in Industry: Development Opportunities in the Conditions of Geo-Economic Fragmentation
摘要
The research aims to identify the potential for the growth of smart entrepreneurship in the context of the relationship between trade openness and GDP growth amid the emerging reality of geoeconomic fragmentation. The global economy’s vulnerability to financial and economic crises compels industrial enterprises to prioritize adopting new technologies. Analyzing successful international practices supports the effective application of achievements from various national programs and strategies while helping avoid past mistakes in designing and implementing smart industry development strategies. This approach contributes to cost reduction and risk mitigation. Using regression analysis, the authors examined how the openness index impacts GDP growth rates in the two major global blocs: BRICS and the G7. The authors provided a five-year forecast for the potential development of smart entrepreneurship in the Russian Federation within the BRICS framework. A horizontal analysis was conducted to examine the dynamics of growth rate changes. The research concludes that international organizations significantly involved in global trade have been largely ineffective, with protectionist policies contributing to the deterioration of international trade. The authors found that G7 countries are less dependent on trade openness than BRICS nations. As a result, given the lower economic baseline of the BRICS countries, they possess greater potential for advancing smart entrepreneurship.
