The energy sector is of vital importance for the economic development of the Republic of Armenia because it is one of the main infrastructure components ensuring the country’s socio-economic development. The primary goal of this research is to develop approaches for improving the quality of business processes in the energy sector in Armenia. The research presents the specifics of the tariff policy regulation in the energy sector. The energy liberalization has also made the sectors’ business environment more attractive to companies. The regulation has created serious conditions for traders to organize their business activities. For the first time, Armenia has created necessary conditions for the activities of numerous business companies in the electricity sales or export markets, which will improve the competitive environment and increase export volumes. The authors outlined the licensing procedure for operating in the sector, along with the legal framework governing relevant legal relations. The research also discusses tariff policy, its alignment with global prices, and the principles behind establishing fair and transparent pricing. Regulating electricity distribution and consumption prices is a key factor in ensuring the efficiency, public satisfaction, and stability of the energy system. The combination of various economic, social, and environmental factors requires a well-founded and justified policy that must align the interests of consumers and energy companies while maintaining the financial stability of the system and the security of supply.
