Smart Farming in Armenia: The Role of Innovative Livestock Buildings in Sustainable Agriculture
摘要
The growing global population and increasing demand for food have accelerated the adoption of smart technologies in agriculture. This research examines the role of smart livestock buildings in modernizing and developing animal farming practices in the Republic of Armenia. Through the integration of sensors, automation systems, and data analytics, these smart facilities enhance productivity, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability. The research reviews Armenia’s agricultural context, the implementation of state-supported programs for the construction or reconstruction of smart livestock buildings, and the expected outcomes, including increased milk yield, reduced disease incidence, and improved competitiveness of livestock products. The findings highlight the potential of smart livestock technologies to transform traditional farming practices, promote sustainable development, and provide a model for future agricultural innovation. The results may be useful for a wide range of stakeholders, including government institutions and policymakers seeking to improve agricultural support programs, farmers, potential investors, and agribusiness stakeholders. They can also serve as a valuable resource for researchers and scholars working in the fields of agriculture, sustainable development, and smart technologies.
