Transforming Institutions from “Sickcare” to Longevity
摘要
Researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and governments are advancing the science and exponential technologies that can unleash the most profound revolution in human history: slowing, stopping, or even reversing aging. Yet these breakthroughs will not, on their own, result in increased healthspans and longevity. Progress is held back by our “sickcare” systems; we generally visit doctors only when ailments strike. True healthcare should focus on prevention. This will require disrupting, transforming, or replacing current antiquated systems, and thinking dynamically in order to overcome fears and confusion that make the public and policymakers reluctant to support healthcare innovations, especially those involving artificial intelligence; government certification requirements for medicines and regulations hindering anti-aging treatments; dysfunctional legacy systems for delivering healthcare to patients; and medical establishment sclerosis and inertia. Overcoming these barriers will involve: individualizing healthcare and primary care; five anti-aging techno-factors; transformative synergistic futurist healthcare; and marketing an end to aging.
