Rewarding Good Work
摘要
Scientists spend many hours doing research and writing up their results for publication. Over the years, prizes, awards, and honors have been established to recognize scientists’ good work that is displayed in these publications. To win one of these prizes, etc., someone must make a considerable effort to nominate a colleague for the honor. In this chapter, I describe the nomination process that I followed to have one of my former graduate students win a prestigious Canadian prize for an outstanding climate science book that the student recently published.
