3D in Rectal Water Contrast Transvaginal Ultrasonography
摘要
Three-dimensional rectal water contrast transvaginal ultrasonography (3D-RWC-TVS) is a transvaginal ultrasound technique combining intrarectal contrast and 3D technology to assess rectosigmoid endometriosis. Adequate bowel cleansing is required before the exam. Several studies have shown that 3D-RWC-TVS performs well in diagnosing rectosigmoid endometriosis and is well tolerated by patients. However, the benefit of using three-dimensional technology during RWC-TVS remains to be fully elucidated. The water contrast introduced in the bowel accelerates the learning curve in the ultrasonographic assessment of rectosigmoid endometriosis.
