Bringing It Together
摘要
Conventional weapons occupy a central position in world politics. They are not only material instruments of violence but also central nodes in the symbolic and institutional architectures that organize security and international relations (Muñoz et al., 2022). This research traces the intricate entanglement between dominant political myths of war and the knowledge structures in which they are embedded. These structures shape emotional dispositions, policy preferences, identity formation, and the paths we take in the pursuit of peace, security, and global stability. Political myths are not peripheral or irrational beliefs. Rather, they are foundational cognitive and affective frameworks shaping our political realities. Recognizing this aspect, the study underscores the necessity of integrating analyses of knowledge structures into the study of world politics, zooming in on the field of weapon governance.
