Bamboo plays a dual role in India’s economy, serving as both an ecological safeguard and a driver of rural livelihoods. This paper examines bamboo export–import flows between 2017 and 2025/26 using official trade statistics. A hybrid ARIMA–LSTM forecasting model is implemented to capture both linear and nonlinear patterns. Results demonstrate rising exports, stable imports, and higher predictive accuracy compared to ARIMA alone, confirming bamboo’s growing role in sustainable trade.
