The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) runs one of the world’s largest real-time ticketing systems, yet passengers continue to face issues such as long waitlists, limited seat availability, complex booking flows, and safety concerns when seated with unknown travelers. Current systems also lack effective personalization, real-time support, and robust handling of bulk bookings or payment failures. VoyageMate addresses these challenges by integrating artificial intelligence into IRCTC through social login functionality, GPT-based chatbots, and k-NN recommendation algorithms for personalized travel planning. A unique 20% ticket blocking feature reduces last-minute booking failures, while gender based visibility of seatmates enhances passenger safety. System evaluation demonstrates improved ticket availability, user satisfaction, and travel safety. By combining AI, real-time data analysis, and secure booking workflows, VoyageMate delivers a safer, more personalized, and seamless railway ticketing experience.
