Sustainability in Logistics: A Framework for Latin American Companies
摘要
Sustainability adoption remains a challenge for many Latin American companies, particularly in Bolivia, due to limited resources and region-specific tools. This study develops a practical framework to guide companies in integrating sustainable logistics practices, considering organizational size and sectoral context. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was gathered from over 500 survey responses and 30 interviews across ten countries. Quantitative analysis, including Cramér’s V, identified clusters of commonly linked practices, while qualitative insights revealed key obstacles and motivators. The framework consists of three components: a diagnostic tool to asses readiness, implementation pathways based on practice interdependencies, and a set of tailored KPIs for monitoring performance. It translates global concepts into actionable regional strategies, fostering gradual, measurable adoption. This research contributes a scalable, data-driven model for sustainability in emerging economies, supporting both operational improvements and academic exploration in the field of sustainable logistics.
