Additionally, Chap. 2 elaborates on the relevant concepts essential to understanding L2 teachers’ cultural identity, including professional identity, emotion, motivation, creativity, reflexivity, and positioning. These elements collectively shape the cultural identity of L2 teachers, profoundly impacting their roles within the L2 educational context. Finally, based on the comprehensive discussion presented, a proposed definition of L2 teachers’ cultural identity will be introduced by using a metaphor: “A Fractal Tapestry Definition of L2 Teachers’ Cultural Identity.” This definition aims to capture the intricate and multilayered nature of L2 teachers’ cultural identity, emphasizing its dynamic and interconnected components and addressing the fallacy that L2 teachers’ cultural identity is not developable.
