Artificial Intelligence in the Forestry and Agriculture Sectors Based on the Use of Drones
摘要
The use of drones in agriculture and forestry is today not only modern but also a necessary solution for better management of both sectors. This paper aims to assess the possible advantages and disadvantages of using drones in the two close sectors and to point out real opportunities for improving the technologies applied. Here we mean field and forest imaging technologies and data processing techniques. The use of drones in both sectors is not just a fashion, but a revolutionary solution in the application of different and specific activities in agriculture and forestry. Some of the most important activities in the agricultural and forestry sectors are mapping, monitoring, and inventory procedures, and in agriculture, the application of plant protection such as spraying and fertilizing. Unmanned aerial vehicles enable real-time tracking of changes in field areas and forest landscapes, facilitating effective monitoring of real threats of various natures. In the agricultural sector - from disasters and pests, and in the forestry sector - from fires and pests. Based on the methods of deduction, induction, analysis, and synthesis used and the solutions proposed in this paper, accelerated inventory of fields and forests can be achieved, as well as rapid survey of large areas and provision of accurate data to identify various problems in both agricultural and forestry sectors. Through the proper application of drones, both cultivated plant species and many tree species can be saved by making timely and systematic assessments of the size and health of forest and field stands.
