Integrated IoT Applications into Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chain Management within Aviation Industry
摘要
Industrial integration happens time and time again when revolutionary approaches or technologies are applied. The industrial era that we are living in nowadays is integrated as much as it could be till now. “IoT” applications, smart technological devices and the implementation of AI have made industries more reliable and sustainable. As far as air transport is the safest and fastest transportation type, at the same time, it is the most expensive one. Accordingly, the aviation industry puts more effort into integrated technologies to keep the advantageous priorities and reduce operational, technical and financial challenges. Integrated technological systems have contributed to fuel efficiency by monitoring aerodynamic conditions, optimising flight paths, managing aircraft loads, and analysing fuel consumption. In addition, air traffic management has been improved through the integration of real-time flight, weather, and ground data, allowing for more accurate routing and reduced environmental impacts. Airport operations have been optimised by using IoT-based systems for baggage tracking, environmental monitoring, surveillance, and runway safety. Passenger flow and passenger experience are improved through beacon technology that supports navigation, queue management, boarding processes and personalised services.
